Hello Jonathan,From a military spouse and professional RN perspective, I too, hope that we arrive at sustainable, long-term solutions, specific community-based needs when innovative Health Care programs for CF Families are to be delivered, in the near future. When the WG's members discuss all the many layers of the Health Care for CF families situation, I recommend that we, in consensus as an Advisory Committee, recommend to the CF leaders that we advise the use of a Transitional Period Program Delivery Model for any Health Care for Families Programs that may be initiated in any of our communities/near bases.
Also, I would suggest that the Ombudsman for Health Care Office (with local areas "Navigators" in place) network be started as soon as it is possible. Within this national Office of the Ombudsman for CF Families Health Care there must be a very strongly supported Sector for Wellness and Prevention. This emphasis on Wellness serves to support the amazing resilience of the CF Families as a group, and will also buy the CF and Gov. much good-will among the masses so-to-speak. This is it for now. Look forward to working with you again soon! Regards, Claudia M. Eyre RN, BScN
